The main character in the series, Manaka is an overall average nice guy who gets strung up in numerous embarrassing but endearing romantic situations throughout middle and then high school. Although his thoughts on girls can get quite perverted on occasion, his gentleness and kindness, as well as his selflessness at times, is what attracts them to him. His indecisiveness between the girls he loves—Aya, Satsuki, and Nishino—and inability to decipher their feelings is the focal point of the story. His dream is to make films as a director. While not academically gifted, he has great talent with cinematography that gradually develops as the story progresses. By the end Manaka is shown to be an upcoming director who was recently invited to join the Kadokura company, and reunites with Nishino. She agrees to go out with him once again after he asks.

Personality

Often balancing his dream of working in the movie industry, he seeks that special someone as well. While still focused on the incident involving the strawberry panties, he often thinks and analyzes a situation as its happening, and does what he thinks is best. He often has perverted thoughts/actions when around girls at times, mostly in his head and tries to hide the emotions to the girls who are wondering what he is thinking.

All in all Junpei is nothing less than a gentleman to girls. He treats them with respect and looks out for them. Despite his perverted thoughts, he will avert his gaze if a girl needs privacy if the situation call a for it. Primarily this is due to Yui's unfortunate habit of undressing in her sleep.

Nishino Tsukasa

The only Manaka Junpei girlfriend throughout series, at first Junpei ask her to be his girlfriend because misunderstanding and they broke up after they enter senior high school. But they took part time in same area and resume their relationship as friend. Later they became lover again during last year of senior high school and took break after graduate due chasing dream while keep good contact. Four year late, their relation resume.

Kitaoji Satsūki

Manaka is Highly attracted to Satsuki & can easily be seduced by her. Proof of this is in The 4th ova after he saves her from the owner She seductively press's her well endowed chest against him & asks for a kiss to which he easily agreed.

• Junpei shares the same horoscope as Satsūki.
• The first kanji in his name means "center" representing him being the center of the harem.
• Junpei seems to have a subconscious affinity for strawberries after seeing Aya's strawberry panties, as his gift a to Tsukasa are all strawberry themed. (The necklace and panties).
• Near the end of the series, Junpei and Tsukasa are in her room in the dark; doubtful they crossed the line that night, as Junpei was being hidden by Tsukasa from her parents.
